This bold dwelling nestles cleverly into a narrow strip of land sub-divided from the neighboring property.
The front façade presents as a rich and complex composition of materials.
Sections of timber and glass provide relief from the solidity of the brickwork while the cranked feature window provides a geometric shift as it folds out from the facade.
Pragmatic issues were the initial design considerations – the optimization of planning efficiencies, the creation of a feeling of space on a slender site and the access of light into the internal spaces. Throughout this elegant three bedroom townhouse there is a commitment to simplicity, proportion, clean lines and carefully selected, authentic materials.
